SANTA STAYS HERE

This Santa Claus statue, which greeted passersby from Acument Global Technologies’ building on Old U.S. 31 for decades, has a new home. An REMC crew on Wednesday relocated the jolly old elf to the Fulton County Historical Society grounds north of Rochester, where it will now be displayed. The city helped facilitate the move, first by contacting the company’s headquarters in Michigan and then Fulton County Museum Director Melinda Clinger. In the bucket truck is REMC lineman Rob Cripe.
