Former Rochester city councilman Gary Clevenger Jr., who resigned last year after being accused of sex crimes with a minor, has been convicted of felony neglect of a dependent.

Clevenger resigned from the Rochester City Council on Feb. 1, 2020, following accusations that he offered cash and drugs to a minor in exchange for sexual favors. According to charging information, a 15-year-old was allegedly propositioned by Clevenger multiple times in the summer of 2019.
