EIGHTS AT STATE The Rochester Town and Country All-Stars, who have already won two tournaments in the last month, played in the eight-and-under state softball tournament Saturday and Sunday. They placed first at the Akron tournament on July 4-6, first at the Lewis Cass tournament June 21-22 and second at the Denver Tournament June 13-15. Lingenfelters compete at State Am
Rochester's Kinley Lingenfelter shot an 86 to finish with a three-day total of 262 and finish in a tie for 65th at the Indiana Women's Golf Association State Amateur Championship at Tippecanoe Country Club in Monticello Thursday. Lingenfelter had rounds of 94-82-86.

Culver state sprint duo runs away with Sentinel girls track honors

Kayla Shaffer (Culver) - After choosing not to run track as a junior, nobody in the area was faster than Shaffer as a senior. She won the Northern State Conference and sectional titles in the 100 and 200 and then made state in both.
