Aug. 6, 1977 - Jan. 30, 2014

Brandon L. McGriff, 36, Rochester, died at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, in Marshall County.

Brandon was born on Aug. 6, 1977, in Plymouth, the son of Robert and Diana (McGlothin) McGriff.

Brandon graduated from Rochester High School in 1996 and from Mid-America College of Mortuary Science, Jeffersonville, in 2002. He had been a licensed funeral director for twelve years and had been working various construction projects. In his spare time he was a volunteer fireman for Henry Township Fire Department, Akron, and enjoyed NASCAR, woodworking and hunting.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Diana McGriff, Rochester; daughters, Emily and Taylor McGriff, and their mother, Stacey McGriff, Akron; brother, Keith and wife Heather McGriff, Rochester; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Rosemary McGlothin and Ray and Alberta McGriff.

Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with Pastor Terry Canfield officiating. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry Township Volunteer Fire Department. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com. Arrangements by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester.
