Ruth C. Paxton

Ruth C. (Rentschler) Paxton, 87, Rochester, and formerly of Fulton, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Saturday Feb. 2, 2013, at Life Care Center, Rochester.
She was born on June 14, 1925 in Roanoke, Va., the daughter of James L. and Georgianna (Perdue) Stinnett.
She married Byron H. Rentschler and he preceded her in death in 1980. On April 19, 1986, in Fulton, Indiana, she married Edward L. Paxton, and he survives.
Mrs. Paxton had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Rochester, and had been active in the Fulton Three C's Club and Eastern Star. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, especially making and decorating cakes, collecting antiques, crocheting, and singing.
Survivors include her husband, Edward L. Paxton, Rochester; daughter, Judy and husband Dennis Sensenich, Millersburg; sons, Larry and wife Barbara Rentschler, Fulton, and Roy and wife Tender Rentschler, Fulton; stepchildren, Judy Ann Paxton, Rochester, Charles Paxton, Las Vegas, Nev., Dale and Jeannie Paxton, Plymouth, Tonya and husband Michael Winnrotte, Plymouth, and Lisa and husband Richard Boal, Plymouth; grandchildren, Angie Kulczar, Millersburg, Deborah Sensenich and husband Darin Friesen, St. Louis, Mo., Patrick Bryon and wife Brooke Rentschler, Grass Creek, Lacey and husband Adam Miller, Greenwood, Andrew and wife Heather Rentschler, Denver, and Jeremy and wife Jessica Rentschler, Lucerne; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Christine Marsh, Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Candace Bailey; sisters, Mary Smith and Ida Gregg; brothers, George Stinnett and Robert Stinnett, and her step-son, Gary Paxton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Dr. James Gabhart officiating.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Rochester, or the Alzheimer's Association.

Although we met Ruth while traveling into the Plymouth area etc.... we wish share our prayers and thoughts with Ed and family who se knew for a long time.... we know she is with our Lord Jesus and will be missed by her husband and family....God bless you Ed, Judy, Gary, and rest of family...

MY GRANDMOTHER RUTH PAXTON WAS ALWAYS A LOVING,CARING PERSON. SHE AND MY GRAMPA ED REMODLED THERE HOME ON E, 4TH STREET. I USE TO HELP THEM. I MISS HER SMILE AND HER STORIES.MY GRAMPA ED CARED FOR HER UNTIL SHE WAS TAKEN TO HOME. HE WENT TO SEE HER EACH DAY. I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE HIM. JESUS IS WHO SHE IS WITH NOW .. AMEN.
