Donnie L. Fenstermaker, 77, Monticello, died at 12:55 p.m. Thursday Nov. 8, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Central Hospital, Lafayette.

He was born Sept. 8, 1935 in Rochester, to parents Cecil L. Fenstermaker and Geneva "Arline" (Hedges) Fenstermaker.

In 1954, he married Joanne M. Armstrong, in Rochester. Then, on May 12, 1961, he married Lawanda Rogers in Chicago. She died June 4, 1998.

Then, on Sept. 30, 2000, he married Loretta "Laura" Dobis-Wilczynski in Chicago. She survives.

Donnie lived in the Monticello area since 2002, moving from Chicago.

He had worked in management for the Crown Cork Seal Can Company in Chicago for 30 years. Don was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, and was a caller for bingo. Don loved to socialize with all his family and friends. He attended the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and AmVets Post, all of Monticello, and the Southwest Angler's Fishing Club of Chicago. He was a former member of the Elks and Moose lodges.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta "Laura" Wilczynski-Fenstermaker, of Monticello; children, Don L. and wife Annette Fenstermaker, of Rochester, Nancy J. and husband William "Bill" Jacoby of Hickory Hills, Ill., Rose Mary Fenstermaker, of Bullhead City, Ariz., William L. "Bill" and wife Clara Fenstermaker, of Zimmerman, Minn., Michael "Mike" Wilczynski and Charles "Chuck" and wife Teresa Wilczynski, both of Calumet City, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Geneva "Arline" (Hedges) Fenstermaker; one infant daughter, Barbara Fenstermaker; and one son-in-law, Victor Wilczynski.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello, with Father Gerald Borawski from Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Monticello.

Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Saturday Nov. 10, 2012 at the funeral home.

Graveside service is at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rochester.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Loretta, I knew Don in his early years in Rochester, but lost touch with him over the years. I am so sorry for your loss.

Thoughts with the family . Don and I had good times in grade school & high.
