Edward D. Wilcox
Sept. 28, 1940 - May 16, 2017

Edward D. Wilcox, 76, Argos, died on May 16, 2017, at 7 a.m. at his residence in Argos. He had been in declining health for several years.

Ed was born on Sept. 28, 1940, in Plymouth, to Chester Wilcox and Leona Mae (Masterson) Wilcox.

Ed moved to Argos in 1971, but had lived in Marshall County all of his life.

On June 2, 1961, in Plymouth, he married Shirley A. Hite. Next month, they would have shared 56 years with each other.

Ed was a fiberglass repairman and was owner and operator of E&S Fiberglass in Rochester.

Ed is survived by his wife, Shirley Wilcox, Argos; his daughters, Beth Ward, Plymouth, and Robbin Nelson and husband Brian, Rochester; seven grandchildren, Eric Ward and wife Amber, West Lafayette, Alyssa Rippy and husband Tanner, Plymouth, Derek Nelson, Indianapolis, Aaron Nelson, Rochester, Michael Wilcox and wife Amanda, Tippecanoe, Brad Wilcox and wife Stephanie, Tippecanoe, and Matthew Wilcox, Etna Green; and eight great-grandchildren, Olivia Ward, Lexi Ward, Hadlee Rippy, Shaylin Wilcox, Jason Wilcox, Braxton Wilcox, Bradyn Wilcox, and Skyla Wilcox.

Edward also leaves behind many beloved in-laws, Sue (Jan) Warner, Barbara Dickson, Rosemary Johnston, Lettie (Danny) Maxson, Gene (Donna) Hite, Ray (Marge) Hite, Ron Hite, Valerie Hite, and Connie Hite, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Arthur Wilcox; son Edward Wilcox Jr.; and beloved in-laws, Loyal and Marguerite Hite, Ken Dickson, Carl Johnston Jr., Mary Hite, Dave Hite, Alvin Hite, and Bruce and Pat Hite.

As per Edward's wishes, there will not be a viewing or service.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Edward Wilcox to Kindred Hospice, 1476 W. 18th St., Rochester, IN 46975.
