Jay W. McCall
Sept. 1, 1940 - Aug. 21, 2014

Jay W. McCall, 73, Rochester, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 1, 1940, in Rochester, the son of Herman and Dorothy (Dennie) McCall. On Sept. 19, 1964, in Rochester, he married Willodean "Dean" Jacobs, she survives.

Mr. McCall had worked as a custodian at Riddle Elementary School for many years. He had been a member of the Rochester Jaycees and had attended the First Church of God. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, carpentry and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Dean McCall, Rochester; daughter Misti and husband Mike Grubb, Hanahan, S.C., sons, Matt and wife Jody McCall, Rochester, and Mark and wife Kelly McCall, Rochester; grandchildren Grady McCall, Ashly McCall, Blake Grubb, Landon Grubb, Kendall Grubb, Sophia and Sylvia McCall; sister June Berquist, Massillon, Ohio; sister-in-law Janet McCall, Westfield Center, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Austin McCall, brother Larry McCall and sister Patsy Scott.

A private family service is to be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Feed My Starving Children, through Mill Creek Missionary Church or the Fulton County Animal Adoption & Education Center. Arrangements are by Zimmerman Bros. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Jay's family.
I worked with him a long time ago he was a great person may he rest in piece.
