Ernest Lee Sutton
April 17, 1946 - Aug. 3, 2014

Ernest Lee Sutton 68, Fulton, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at his residence.

He was born on April 17, 1946, in Fulton, the son of Donald and Anna (Latterner) Sutton.

Ernie was employed for many years by the Town of Fulton and had also farmed with Jerry and Jean Eytcheson. He was a longtime member the Fulton-Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department, Fulton Activity Committee and had attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. Years ago the Town of Fulton showed there appreciation for Ernie's hard work to the community by celebrating Ernie Sutton Day in his honor. In his spare time Ernie was a proud Indiana University fan.

Survivors include several cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service is to be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Fulton, with the Rev. George Hapner officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton-Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com.
