Ella Manns, 66, Warsaw, went to be with the Lord at 3:05 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, at her residence with her loved ones by her side.
She and her husband Lawrence Manns were the owners and operators of Manns Kountry Kitchen Restaurant in Silver Lake. for more than 20 years she and Lawrence enjoyed serving the community. She greatly appreciated the many customers who not only became friends but also felt like family. She enjoyed vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tenn., spending time with her family and friends and attending services at First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was born on Feb. 4,1948, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Polly (Hale) and Harry Prater. On Aug. 26, 1965, she was married to Lawrence Manns, who survives in Warsaw.
She also leaves behind three sons, Kenneth (Mina) Manns, Wabash, Bernard (Susan) Manns, Silver Lake, and Dustin Manns (Chelsie Creekmore), Warsaw; two granddaughters, Ashlie and Marcy Manns; one grandson, Braxton Manns; and her brother, AC Prater, Rochester.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her sister.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Her funeral service is to be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Akron Cemetery, Akron.
