Aug. 8, 1943 - April 4, 2014

Roger M. Zentz, 70, Plymouth, passed away at 9:03 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at his home.

Roger was born to Orville and Ruth (Miller) Zentz on Aug. 8, 1943, in Plymouth. He graduated from Argos High School. His class was the first to complete all four years in their new school. He attended Ball State University, Muncie, and served his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. Kathleen "Kathy" Koons, and Roger, were married on June 10, 1973, in Montpelier. They traveled the world, visiting 26 countries, during their life together.

Roger worked in Quality Control at Sealed Power, Rochester, for 33 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and traveling. He was a member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren, Argos, and had lived in the Argos and Plymouth areas all of his life.

Roger is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Kathy" Zentz; their son, Roger (Michelle) Zentz II, Clinton; and two granddaughters, Alexis and Amber.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, with Pastor Robert Rice officiating. Burial is in Walnut Cemetery, Argos.

Memorial may be given to the Walnut Church of the Brethren, 19056 Gumwood Road, Argos, IN 46501.
