Melbadine Frushour, 87, Rochester, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Hickory Creek, Rochester.
She was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Switzerland County to parents Charles and Velma (Kern) Walston.
She married Jimmie D. Frushour in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1971.
She retired from former Torin Corporation. She also worked at Western Stone Ware, of Monmouth, Ill., as well as Candlelight Travel, of Rochester.
Melba was a graduate of Wabash High School. She was a devoted Democrat. She always enjoyed reading and traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmie and wife Mary Frushour, Rochester, and Tom Frushour, Logansport; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and best friends Sue and Dave Rutledge, Monmouth, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmie Frushour; two infant daughters; and a half brother, James Backus, Wabash.
A memorial service is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at the Fulton County Public Library, with Chaplain Jason See officiating.
Visitation is noon-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the library.
Burial is in Citizens Cemetery, Rochester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Public Library.
