James D. Rodriguez, 61, Fulton, and longtime Muncie passed away at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 8, 1951, in Gary, the son of James D. and Shirley (Arbaugh) Rodriguez-Pemberton.

He married Susan McKillip on April 21, 1979, in Muncie, and she survives.

Mr. Rodriguez graduated from Ball State University and served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Pathologists and Associates in Muncie, for over 40 years as purchasing manager. In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, a Green Bay Packers fan and a member of the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his daughter, Maya F. Rodriguez and fiance Brandon Milster, Fishers; son, James Rodriguez Jr., Munice; mother, Shirley and husband Val Pemberton, Rochester; brother, Donald Smith, Rochester; sisters, Ruby and husband Clayton 'Cork' Troglen, Rochester, Linda Rodriguez, Rochester, and Kara and husband Dale Graham, Macy; sister-in-law, Gayle Rodriguez, Rochester; aunt, Josephine Konowal, Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Rodriguez; brother, Mark Rodriguez; and stepfather, Donald Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. George Hapner officiating.

Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Friday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard.

Lois M. Gundrum

June 23, 1933 - Aug. 22, 2013

Lois M. Gundrum, 80, of Fulton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester.

Born June 23, 1933, in Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Bessie (Byerley) Newton.

On Jan. 15, 1954, Lois married Ronald F. Gundrum, who survives.

Lois was a co-owner of Gundrum Real Estate Inc. She was a 1951 graduate of Fulton High School. Lois was a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple, Fulton Ladies Club and the Fulton Lions Club. She was a distributor of Successful Living Christian Books and enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, attending Caston athletic events and spending time with her family.

Surviving along with her husband is one daughter, Linda (Barry) Baldwin, Fulton; son, Randy (Kay) Gundrum, Rochester; grandson, Bryce Baldwin, Chicago, Ill.; stepgrandsons, Josh Enyart, California, and Jeremy Enyart, Plymouth; stepgranddaughters, Kristi Enyart, California, and Amanda Enyart, Plymouth; great-stepgrandsons, Isaiah and Seth Enyart, California, and Robbie Enyart, Plymouth; great-stepgranddaughter, Shayla Enyart, Plymouth; sister, Dorothy (Charles) Baird, Fulton; and brother, Gerald R. (Peg) Newton, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Pete E. Newton; and one sister, Mary Ann Newton.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, in the Fulton Baptist Temple, with Rev. Bruce Russell officiating.

Burial will be in Fulton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, in the Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport. There will be one hour of visitation prior the service on Monday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Fulton Baptist Temple.

So sad for those he left behind, but extremely happy he is free at last from being bedridden. He always kept his sense of humor, which is more than could be expected in his situation!!

Jim was my very good friend for a very long time. Very sad to see him go but glad to see the reception he is having in Heaven being greeted bu Mark, Kraig and Larry Zartmen and many other friends welcoming Jim home. Oh yes, Jim is walking again!
