Todd J. 'Harley' Hartzler, 50, Garrett, formerly of Wabash and Gilead, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at DeKalb Memorial Hospital emergency room, Auburn.
He was born Oct. 9, 1962, in Miami County, to parents Jerome C. Hartzler and Annetta E. Flook.
He had done construction and mechanical work. Todd graduated from North Miami High School in 1981. He was a member of the Eagles of Wabash, and a past member of the Moose Lodge of Wabash. He was an avid watcher of the Colts and NASCAR and, most of all, he loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors include his mother, Annetta Robinette, Wabash; companion, Millie Forgue, Garrett; two sisters, Angela and husband Matt Gast, Akron, and Cindy Hartzler, Wabash; and one brother, Jerry and wife Debra Hartzler, Akron.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome C. Hartzler.
Funeral service is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Rick Baber officiating.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Private family burial will take place at ilead Cemetery, Gilead.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the funeral fund.
