Melbadine Frushour, 87, Rochester, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Hickory Creek, Rochester.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1926, in Switzerland County, to parents Charles and Velma (Kern) Walston.
She married Jimmie D. Frushour in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1971.
She retired from former Torin Corporation. She also worked at Western Stone Ware in Monmouth, Ill., as well as Candlelight Travel in Rochester.
Melba was a graduate of Wabash High School. She was a devoted Democrat. She always enjoyed reading and traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmie and wife Mary Frushour, Rochester, and Tom Frushour, Logansport; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and best friends Sue and Dave Rutledge, Monmouth, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie Frushour; two infant daughters; and one half-brother, James Backus, Wabash.
A family memorial service will take place at a later date.
Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery, Rochester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Public Library.
Services were entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
