Mary Ellen Rudisel-Jordan

Mary Ellen Rudisel-Jordan, 61, of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Mary Ellen was born July 23, 1951, in South Bend, to Raymond and Mary Ann (Summy) Gradeless.

She was salutatorian in the 1969 graduating class of LaVille High School. She attended Manchester College and, in 1974, she earned her degree from Ball State University's Architectural School.

In 1997, Mary Ellen Rudisel-Jordan became the owner and architect of Scearce Rudisel Architects, Inc., Warsaw. On March 20, 2000, she and Rev. James "Jim" Jordan were married.

She was a very active member of the American Institute of Architects Indiana, Warsaw Community Church, Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, Warsaw Zoning Board, president of the Warsaw Community Development Corporation and was a National Historic Building Assessor.

Survivors include her husband; two sons; one daughter; four grandchildren; mother; father and stepmother; brother; and 15 stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, in the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Pfeifer of WCC will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

The family has asked that gifts in Mary Ellen's memory be given to the fund she and Jim established, the Way Maker Trust Fund, through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, 102 E. Market St., Warsaw, or on their website at

Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is caring for the family.

So sad to hear of your loss. You all have my sympathy!

You don't remember me, I was Cecil's daughter-in-law and Diane's friend at Maple Grove.
