Allen Quimby

Allen Eugene Quimby, 24, Argos, passed away at 9:37 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following a sudden illness.

Allen was born on Jan. 13, 1989, in Plymouth, to parents Ernest Lamar Quimby Jr. and MaLeta Bauman.

He had lived in the Argos community all his life and was employed at the Argos McDonald's.

He was a graduate of Argos High School class of 2007.

He served in the Indiana National Guard. Allen enjoyed his music, writing songs and spending time with the friends he had known since grade school.

Survivors include his mother, MaLeta DeWitt and husband Bart, Argos; father, Ernest L. Quimby Jr. and wife Roberta, Grovertown; brothers, Martin Quimby and wife Ranna, Rochester, and Kevin Quimby, Argos; stepbrothers, Derrick DeWitt, Knox, Daniel Webb and wife Tara, Hamlet, and Michael Webb and wife Stephanie, Bouton, Iowa; and grandparents, Robert Bauman, Argos, Shirley Fuller and husband John, Snyder, Texas, and Larry and Ellen DeWitt, Argos.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Ernest L. Quimby Sr. and Marguriet Quimby.

Funeral service is at noon Friday, July 19, 2013, at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with Rev. Brian Trump and Rev. Valerie Wallis officiating.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-noon Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Maxinkuckee IOOF Cemetery at Poplar Grove, Culver, at a later date.
