Earl C. Reisman
March 20, 1928 - Feb. 21, 2013

Earl Charles Reisman, 84, Monterey, died at 8:50 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2013, at Rivercrest Specialty Hospital, Mishawaka.

Earl was born March 20, 1928, in Wellsville, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army from 1947 until 1949.

He married Barbara Ellen Stamm on Sept. 4, 1965, in Plymouth. She preceded

him in death on June 10, 2009. Earl was an auctioneer for several years. He was a truck driver most of his life.

He was an avid mushroom hunter. He traveled to Michigan every spring to hunt them. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Earl enjoyed sports, especially Notre Dame football. He enjoyed spending

time with his family and his friends. Earl was a storyteller and prankster.

Survivors include two daughters, Debe S. (William) Fred, Rochester, and Kathy (Ken) Black, Buford, Ga.; one son, Steve (Mary) Reisman, Mercer, Wis.; two grandsons, Scott (Lisa) Fred and Stacy Reisman; two granddaughters,

Tara (Danny) Taylor and Tiffany Reisman; three great-granddaughters, Megan Fred, Ashley Fred and Olivia Taylor; and one brother-in-law, John Stamm, Cathedral City, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Ellen (Stamm) Reisman; and one son, John S. Reisman.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service

Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetary, Lake Bruce, at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
