Frank Diveley, 84, of Rochester, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at his residence.
Born on Feb. 16, 1928, in Grass Creek, he was the son of the late Edgar and Josephine (Myers) Diveley. He married Marilyn Korreckt on May 16, 1953; she survives.
He was a 1947 graduate of Royal Center High School. Frank was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in WWII as a machine gunner aboard the B-29 Super Fortress stationed in Guam. He was a lifelong farmer.
Frank was a member of the V.F.W. No. 3790 in Logansport and he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his pond.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Diveley, of Rochester; son, Daniel F. Diveley (Jenny), of Rochester; sisters, June Dempsey, of Royal Center, and Carolyn Cox, of Mooresville; grandchildren, Sommer Halterman (Derek), of Fulton, Jill Robinson (Dave), of Indianapolis, John Diveley, of Rochester, and Catherine Diveley, of Kewanna; and great-grandchildren, Lane Halterman, of Fulton, and Stone Robinson, of Indianpolis.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Howard Diveley.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel, with Chaplain Jason See officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the funeral home.
Burial with military rites will be performed at Grass Creek Cemetery.
