Judith A. Ludwig, 74, Rochester, passed away at 6:28 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1938 in Peru, the daughter of Eugene and Mary (Miller) Hoagland. She was a 1956 graduate of Fulton High School, Fulton, where she graduated salutatorian and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in education.
Judith had been a school teacher at Caston Elementary School, Fulton, and had been a case worker for the Department of Children's Services. She had also sold real estate. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, writing and spending time with nature.
Survivors include her children, Beth and husband Rick Williams, Springfield, Ohio, Michael and wife Andrea Ludwig, Rochester, and Lorri and husband Robert Lemler, Bourbon; grandchildren, Bryan Borden, Greg Borden and fiance Morgan Clark, and Brock Williams, all of Springfield, Ohio, Amber Seibert, Fairborn, Ohio, Ben Ludwig, Rochester, Emily Ludwig, Rochester, Scott and wife Jessica Collins, Warsaw, Brad Collins and fiance Tiffani Davis, Rochester, Joshua Lemler, Jezreel Lemler and Jazmin Lemler, all of Bourbon; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack and wife Mary Hoagland, Fort Myers, Fla.; one sister, Mary Jordan, Fairfield, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and an infant son.
Family and friends are invited to the Rochester Meat & Deli Banquet Room, Rochester, to celebrate Judith's life from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.
Private interment will take place at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Peru.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Public Library or the Fulton County Historical Society.
