The Fulton Economic Development Corp., in concert with the Indiana Small Business Development Center, will host another "Launching Your Own Business" session from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 22 at the Fulton Economic Development Corp. offices, 822 Main St.
It will be the second of monthly starting business educational events.
The seminar costs $15. It is part of an entrepreneurship initiative being launched by FEDCO. Future programs will include business-related topics and an extensive business planning and management course.
The seminar is for anyone considering a business startup or for those already in business who need information about business plans or financing. LYOB is a hands-on seminar that provides proven tools to get students on the road to success. Participants receive a comprehensive workbook and free one-on-one new business consultation upon completion of the workbook.
The instructor is Jim Roudebush of the Indiana Small Business Development Center. Roudebush has spent the last five years in training and consulting with entrepreneurs throughout Indiana. He has been a small business owner for 19 years and has an MBA in marketing and finance. He helps participants identify their personal objectives, skills, and resources; understand entrepreneurial characteristics; describe business ideas and target groups; and evaluate business feasibility.
Says FEDCO Executive Director Terry Lee: "Small businesses are proven job creators and FEDCO is creating a comprehensive support system to help them grow. Education is an important part of this process and the Launching Your Own Business seminar is a great first step."
