This Week's Poll
Be honest. How much does your family recycle? Please check the appropriate response.

Please select one:
We recycle nearly everything - all our glass, most of our trash. We even rinse out and re-use plastic bags.
Most of our disposables.
Some.
None. Recycling is just another goofy government program. There's plenty of room in the County Line Landfill.

Only local contest is for Aubbee trustee
BY CHRISTINA M. SEILER
News Editor, The Sentinel

Remember your photo identification when you head to the polls for Tuesday’s primary election.

New state law requires a state-issued I.D. – generally a driver’s license or identification card from the license branch.

Polls are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There’s one township race on the ballot this election.

Republicans Gary Feece, 4362 N. 750 West, and Willis “Bill” Russell, 8077 W. 400 North, are running for the Aubbeenaubbee Township trustee’s seat.

Russell is a Leiters Ford firefighter and member of the Fulton County Hazardous Substance Committee. Feece is the incumbent.

Voters will choose Second District U.S. House of Representatives candidates from between Democrats Joe Donnelly, Granger, and Steve Francis, South Bend, and Republicans Chris Chocola, Bristol and Tony Zirkle, South Bend.

There are no county-level primary races, with the parties not fielding more than one candidate per race. The party candidates, although unopposed, are still on Tuesday’s ballot.
