Macks S. Swick, 71, Warsaw, and formerly of rural Claypool, passed away at 9:48 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born on Dec. 9, 1946, in Kosciusko County to Claude E. and Fern E. (Warren) Swick.
He remarried on Dec. 9, 2003, in Warsaw to Donna McCord. She survives.
He was a farmer and had also worked for Akron Concrete Products and Pike Lumber Company and was a scrapper. He had many jobs over his lifetime, but training horses was his favorite. 
He served his country with the U.S. Army during Vietnam. For many years, Macks had been very involved with 4-H where he served as a leader. During his time as a leader, he enjoyed working with poultry and goats.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Swick, Warsaw; his daughters, Amy and husband Rodney Keirn, Claypool, Nicki and husband Ryan Crawford, South Whitley, and Bridget Swick and companion Mark Neeley, Warsaw; his stepson, Nicholas Shepherd, Warsaw; two grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; his sisters, Arlene Miller, Pierceton, and Marilyn and husband James Collins, Rochester; and his brothers, Frank and wife Judy Swick, Mentone, Ronnie and wife Carolyn Swick, Claypool, David and wife Tammy Swick, Mentone, and Mark and wife Valerie Swick, St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Nancy Kuhn and Phyllis Swick; and his brother, Eldon Swick.
His funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Thomas Craig officiating. Burial will be at Akron Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
