Connie C. Burkhart, 64, Amboy, passed away at 12:46 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after being in failing health for the last 16 months.
She was born on May 28, 1953, in Rochester, to Sidney and Phyllis (Bowser) Alber.
She married her husband of 41 years, Roy L. Burkhart, on April 17, 1976, in the Talma United Methodist Church.
She had been a store clerk working in retail at the Amboy Market.
Connie was a 1971 graduate of Mentone High School. She was a member of the Converse United Methodist Church for more than 30 years. She had a deep love for her family, community and church. 
Survivors include her husband, Roy Burkhart, Amboy; daughters April Berry, Warsaw, and Michelle and husband Jeff Puckett, Mentone; son Matthew and wife Becky Burkhart, Wabash; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers Tom and wife Sandy Alber, Woodburn, and Randy and wife Kristy Alber, Rochester.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Phyllis Alber.
Her funeral service is noon Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the service time at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone. Pastor David Steinke will officiate her service. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery. Additional visitation is 3-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at the Converse United Methodist Church, 109 E. Wabash St.
